As small businesses grow, managing employees and controlling access to different parts of the system becomes essential.
Y-POS provides a powerful Staff Management module that allows business owners to:
create staff accounts,
assign access permissions,
control who can see sensitive information,
and manage working schedules.
This functionality is especially valuable in industries like beauty salons, barbershops, and service businesses, where employees may need access to certain tools (e.g. accepting payments) but should not have access to private customer lists or business reports.
How the Feature Works (Detailed Explanation)Business owners can create an unlimited number of staff members.
Each staff member receives a customized access profile with selected permissions.
Permissions can be granted or removed with a simple toggle — for example:
accept payments,
view customer list,
manage products,
access analytics,
manage inventory,
manage appointments.
For beauty and barbershop businesses, schedule management is built into the system.
Each staff member can have working hours assigned in a single click.
This makes it easy to manage bookings, client appointments, and availability.
Open the Staff Management section in Y-POS.
Tap the + button at the bottom of the screen.
Enter staff member details (name, role, contact information).
The next screen will show a list of available permissions.
Enable or disable each permission depending on what the employee should be able to access.
Save the staff member profile.
Open the staff member profile from the Staff Management list.
Review available permissions.
Toggle permissions ON or OFF depending on the employee’s responsibilities.
Save your changes — they take effect immediately.
Go to Staff Management → Schedule / Working Hours.
Select the staff member.
Set their working hours for the week — or apply the same schedule to all staff with one click.
The system will automatically update availability in the booking calendar.
