How to Connect Your WiFi Card Reader

• Open the Y|POS app.
• Go to Settings > WiFi Card Readers.

• Order one directly from the app, and our team will prepare it for you.

Step 1: Set Up the Battery

• Open the battery compartment of the BBPOS WisePOS E by pulling the bottom left corner up.
• Place the rechargeable battery inside and snap the cover back in place.

Step 2: Power On the Card Reader

• Press and hold the power button on the right side until the screen turns on.
• If the battery is low, recharge it by connecting the cable to the port marked with a lightning bolt.

Step 3: Connect to WiFi

• On the Card Reader, go to Settings > WiFi Settings.
• Select your network and ensure your Y|POS device and the Card Reader are connected to the same network.
• Switching Networks: To change WiFi, return to WiFi settings and select a new network.
• Troubleshooting: If your connection isn’t working:
  • Use manual DNS:
    • Go to your computer’s WiFi settings.
    • Set DNS to Manual and use the IP address 8.8.8.8.

Step 4: Name Your Card Reader

• Assign a unique name to the Card Reader for easy organization.

Step 5: Enter Admin PIN

• Swipe right on the Card Reader screen, tap Settings, and enter the admin PIN: 0-7-1-3-9.

Step 6: Pair the Card Reader

• On your Y|POS device, enter the pairing code displayed on your Card Reader.
• If no code appears, tap Generate Pairing Code on the Card Reader.

Step 7: Start Accepting Payments

• Once paired, your Y|POS Card Reader is ready!
• During checkout, you’ll see Y|POS Card Reader listed as a payment method.
